Silicon metal 99.9 is a high-purity silicon metal. It is obtained by reducing silica from carbonaceous raw materials such as charcoal or silica at high temperatures. Its aliases include industrial silicon or crystalline silicon. The main component of Silicon metal 99.9 is silicon, containing a small amount of carbon, sulfur, phosphorus and other elements. It has the characteristics of high melting point, high resistivity, and high oxidation resistance.

Silicon metal 99.9 has a high purity, so it have wide applications in electronics, metallurgy and chemical industries. Especially in the metallurgical industry, it is an important raw material for the production of aluminum alloys.
