Silicon metal 441 is a model of metal silicon. Its main feature is that it contains a high amount of silicon element. The content of silicon element is about 99%, and the remaining impurities are mainly iron and aluminum. Metallic silicon is a product made from quartz and coke in an electric furnace.

In terms of physical properties, due to different chemical compositions, the physical properties of metallic silicon 553, 441, and Silicon 3303 are also different. For example, the silicon content of 441 is about 99%, while the silicon content of 3303 is about 99.3%.

In addition, metallic silicon 441 has the characteristics of small heat capacity, high mechanical strength, low thermal conductivity, non-combustible, non-toxic and tasteless, and easy transportation.

Silicon Metal 441, silicon metal 553, silicon metal 3303 and other models are metallurgical grade silicon metal. The biggest use of Metallurgical grade silicon is in the aluminum alloy industry. For example, adding Silicon metal 441 to aluminum alloys can improve the high-temperature fluidity and wear resistance of the alloy, while reducing shrinkage and hot cracking tendencies. And it can also improve the mechanical properties of aluminum alloys, giving them higher tensile strength and yield strength.

Adding silicon metal to aluminum alloy can improve its casting properties. Since silicon has high liquid surface tension, it can improve the fluidity and castability of aluminum alloys. On the other hand, it can reduce defects such as shrinkage defects and pores during the solidification process of aluminum alloys. Silicon can also improve the corrosion resistance of aluminum alloys.

In addition, silicon metal 441 can also be used to prepare other special alloys, produce silicone, prepare high-purity semiconductor materials, and in industries such as electric power, chemical industry, and shipbuilding.
