Specifications of Fero Silicon 65 Grade

Ferrosilicon is an iron alloy composed of iron and silicon. It plays an important role in the metallurgical industry. Besides, in steelmaking, ferrosilicon is a deoxidizer and an additive for alloying elements. In the foundry industry, ferrosilicon 72 is a common deoxidizer and inoculator. Moreover, in the mineral processing industry, ferrosilicon acts as a weighting agent, and in welding rod production, it is a coating material. FeSi75, FeSi72, and Ferrosilicon 65 are common ferrosilicon models.

These different models of ferro silicon indicate that they have different silicon contents, for example: FeSi90 contains 87%-95% silicon. Ferrosilicon 75 contains 72%-80% silicon, which can be subdivided into three models: FeSi75A, FeSi75B, and FeSi75C. Ferro Silicon 65 contains 63%-68% silicon. FeSi45 contains 40%-47% silicon. The hardness of 65% FeSi is relatively high, usually between 150-200 HB, in fact it makes ferrosilicon 65 advantageous in some special fields. Ferro silicon 65 also has lower resistivity and higher thermal conductivity. At the same time, ferrosilicon 65 also has good oxidation resistance, acid and alkali resistance.

In fact, compared with FeSi75 and Ferrosilicon 72, the biggest advantage of FeSi 65 is the price. Its price is the lowest among the three.
